Zepto Cafe app, which was launched in December to tap the quick food delivery market, has now registered 60% month-on-month growth over the four weeks, cofounder Aadit Palicha shared in a post.

Announcing the milestone, Palicha said, “In December, I posted that we launched a new app for Zepto Café (food delivered in 10 minutes), which was doing 30,000 orders/day. Just 4 weeks later, we have crossed 50,000 orders/day - that's 60% month-on-month growth 🤯. More importantly, customer retention is strong even as we're scaling.”

Attributing the success components, Palicha mentioned clear product-market-fit, multiplier growth, and an unbelievably talented team behind the execution brought this result.

“Personally, I believe this is the next big innovation in Indian Q-Commerce and Consumer Internet, and Zepto is just getting started,” he added.

The Overflowing Quick Food Delivery Plate

Zepto Cafe was launched in April 2022 as a division of Zepto, which itself was founded in July 2021 by Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra.

However, Zepto Cafe app was launched in December to cater to the 10-15 minutes quick food delivery market.

Days back, we’ve reported about Zomato re-entering the quick-food delivery space after winding up its ‘Instant’ service two years back in January. The Gurugram-based company's 15-minute delivery feature is now live in select locations across cities including Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Mind that, Zomato’s Blinkit is already running ‘Bistro’ with a similar proposition.

If these are not enough, hyperlocal e-commerce player Magicpin too launched its quick food delivery service MagicNow too in December.

Swiggy, too, was not left behind. Amid its host of launches this week, it has launched its quick food delivery service called SNACC.

These moves highlight the increasing competition in the quick food delivery segment, with major players ramping up their efforts to capture a share of this growing market.
