Bengaluru-based risk intelligence platform Bureau, specializing in digital fraud prevention, has secured $30 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Sorenson Capital, with participation from PayPal Ventures and existing investors including Commerce Ventures, GMO Venture Partners, Village Global, Quona Capital, and XYZ Ventures.

The funding will be used to improve Bureau's product offerings, hire talent, strengthen its go-to-market strategy, and expand its presence globally.

“Our revenue grew 2.5 times each year till 2024 and the growth continues even now. This also reflects in terms of valuation, which shows investor confidence. Our customer base grew to 150 and mostly large enterprises,” Bureau founder and CEO Ranjan Reddy told Moneycontrol. 

“India is definitely the focus with new funding but we are also expanding globally. We have entered five new markets,” he added further.

The funding comes amid a sharp rise in global cyber fraud, with annual losses now estimated at over $5 trillion—a 56% increase over the past decade. This investment also signals growing interest from Indian investors in fraud detection and cybersecurity startups as the demand for advanced solutions in this space continues to grow.

Founded in 2020 by Reddy, Bureau offers an AI-powered, real-time fraud prevention platform that provides contextual insights across the entire customer lifecycle, moving beyond traditional rule-based systems. The company serves industries like banking, fintech, e-commerce, gaming, and consumer internet platforms.

Key features of Bureau's platform include money mule detection, account takeover prevention, fraud ring detection, and onboarding compliance, helping businesses identify and mitigate digital fraud risks effectively.

Bureau competes with the likes of startups including Bengaluru-based Clari5, Hyderabad-based Simility, Razorpay Thirdwatch among others.
