In a significant development, tech giant Google has appointed Preeti Lobana as its country manager and VP for India operation.
Lobana replaced Sanjay Gupta, who was elevated to the role of president of Asia Pacific region at Google.
In her new role, she will be responsible for leveraging AI in bringing transformative changes fostering innovation, the press statement said.

He further said with her strong focus on customer-centric leadership and market expertise, she will play a key role in deepening Google's engagement with India's digital ecosystem, leveraging AI advancements such as Gemini to drive digital inclusion and economic opportunities.
Gupta highlighted that Preeti Lobana will work closely with Roma Datta Chobey, who is transitioning from interim coucntry manager to managing director for Google India's Digital Native Industries. Roma's vast experience across sectors such as e-commerce, fintech, gaming, and media will remain pivotal in driving innovation and growth within these dynamic industries.
Preeti Lobana brings extensive leadership experience to her new role, having previously served as MD & head of Global Finance, India at NatWest Group. Prior to that, she held the position of VP, Global Business Services at American Express, where she demonstrated strategic financial leadership and operational excellence.
