To enhance customer experience on its platform, quick-commerce major Blinkit, has introduced a new feature that allows users to delete their order history from the platform.

The fresh development was announced by Blinkit’s cofounder and CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, in a LinkedIn post yesterday. In his post, he further said that, so far, over 1,04,924 orders had already been deleted by users since the feature was launched last week.

This initiative can be looked at by Blinkit's continued efforts to improve user experience. By offering customers more control and privacy, this new feature is indeed going to add to its customer experience journey.

The CEO Post reported about Blinkit’s leadership change this month. The quick-commerce company roped in Vipin Kapooria as its new CFO, recently. Kapooria, who has previously held roles at Flipkart and OYO, brings extensive experience to Blinkit as the company expands in the competitive quick commerce market.

It is to be noted that Blinkit has launched quite a few new initiatives/services lately. For example, it launched its quick food delivery app called ‘Bistro’ earlier this year.

It also started piloting ‘Blinkit Seller Hub’- a service to sellers to list themselves on the platform.

Blinkit has introduced a return option too for categories such as clothing and footwear, expanding its range of services.

Additionally, the platform now offers quick delivery of passport-sized photos, further enhancing its value proposition in the quick commerce space.

Further, Blinkit also expanded its operation in Jammu. This move is in line with Zomato’s broader strategy to extend its quick commerce business to Tier II cities across India, further broadening its reach and catering to growing demand outside major metropolitan areas.

Supported by the rising quick commerce popularity, Blinkit reported impressive financial growth. In the second quarter (Q2) of FY25, Blinkit achieved a revenue of INR 1,156 Cr, more than doubling its revenue from INR 505 Cr during the same period last year (Q2 FY24), according to the Inc42 report.
